Sean Genovese

Sean Genovese is severly underrated in both talent and creativity. He co-founded one of the few great board companies in the snow industry......

...and he's one of the creative influences behind Think Thank.

But most importantly, he kinda looks like Bret McKenzie from Flight of the Conchords.

Anyway, he sends me this e-mail the other day:

"yo guys... JUST got some film developed from a box camera that i had with me when we shot that stuff for the catalog a long while back."

You might ask how far back "a while back" is? Well, this was during a shoot for our 06/07 catalog, so this was from like 2 years ago. Yeah, he's on top of things.

5Panel Caps

Here's a look at just a few of the 5Panel caps out now in the Spring/Summer line. The logo is a throwback to the 1984 Summer Olympics, held right here in Los Angeles.

That's it, take them in visually. Ok, now go take them in physically (as in: go exchange currency for them)

Bodega x Reebok "Escape Pack"

Bodega got together with Reebok for one of the most anticipated releases of the summer. It's a collaboration project dubbed "Escape Pack". We hooked up with the guys at Bodega to help them develop the matching 5 panel cap to go along with the project.

Only 100 Escape Packs will be available beginning May 31 at Bodega, located in Boston, though in all likelihood they've already sold out. In either case, here's a closer look at the matching 5 panel cap we produced.

Check out Hypebeast.com for more info on collaboration and Freshnessmag.com for an interview with one of the most unique boutiques in the world.

Spring Line is Out!!

The Spring/Summer line is out. It's a nice little mix of everything with lots of new styles. So cash that Economic Stimulus check and stimulate our economy. Don't be caught walkin' around with some old stuff on.

Here's a fitted tease for the cap collectors out there.

Better make moves before you miss out.

DIRTBAG

So I went all last week without showering once. It started when the water in my townhouse was mistakenly turned off for a few days, then I decided to push my scumbag-ness out to a full week. I thought I wouldn't be able to handle it, but it actually wasn't that bad. I did utilize deodorant though, as a courtesy to others, because without it, my armpits would smell like an African sweatshop. It was still pretty bad I'm told, but personally, I like my stink.

Superpark went down in Mammoth last week too and I'm sure there were much dirtier people hanging out up there. I didn't get to stick around myself, but Evan told me that senders were being thrown down daily. Check the stories and photo galleries over at Snowboardermag.com.

TJ Schneider also posted this YouTube video..

I think I'm pretty much done riding for the season. My knee's bugging, so I think I'm gonna go get an MRI. Hopefully it's nothing that requires a surgeon's skills.

MAMMOTH ENDER

Headed up to Mammoth last weekend to get a few closing laps in before the season wraps up. I had some things to do on Saturday before I left so I didn't get to leave until like 7:30pm, which means I missed most of the "West Coast Invitational" ongoings. I did manage to get to Canyon lodge just in time to see more than a few people get dragged out by the Mammoth PD. Ben and June stumbled their way out on their own though and we headed back to the house.
The weather was less than ideal at first as you can see

and Ben was not stoked

so he went home and took a nap

Too bad him and June went back to L.A. though because the next day was MUCH better. Bluebird skies and no wind.

Oh well, next time.

And what's the story with this?????

Are you supposed to smoke here or not????
