Atmosphere
Here's a sneak peek at the "mArk" fitted we produced for Atmosphere. The cap features a never before seen wrap around application and otherwise comes in a couple classic color combinations. If you'll be down in San Diego attending the ASR and Agenda tradeshows, be sure to stop by Atmosphere at Agenda Booth K5 to see the caps and the rest of their Spring 09 line.

Charles Reid yet again.....
Are you getting tired of hearing about Charles Reid yet? Well, too bad, cuz he's not going anywhere and he's destroying Australia right now. Fresh off his 2nd place finish at the New Zealand Open, Mr. Reid is continuing in the same fashion and is currently in 2nd Place after picking apart every possible feature for two days.
He also decided to go ahead and take 1st place and the Best Trick Award at the Rail Jam.
Check out www.stylewars.com.au and onboardsnowboarding.com for more details.

S.L.A.T.E.
As September approaches, so does another tradeshow season. We're off to Las Vegas in the next day or two to exhibit at S.L.A.T.E. (Select, Lifestyle, Apparel, Trends, Emergence), the new premier section of Magic Tradeshow. Magic's gotta be one of the biggest apparel shows around the world, and they recently decided that it was time to re-organize a bit, adding a new section within the bigger show itself showcasing the best established and up and coming brands across the street and skate lifestyle markets.
We got together with S.L.A.T.E. and Crooks and Castles to produce this one-time release, available only at the show. Designed by Crooks and produced by us, this snap back cap is limited to 150 pieces and will be released at 12:00 noon on Tuesday 8/26 at the S.L.A.T.E. Concierge. These will NOT LAST. So we suggest going by early to get yours.
We've been so busy signing the lease on the new office spot that I honestly don't even know what booth number we're at, but if you're a retailer looking to set up an appointment, just hit us up at sales@elmcompany.com. Oh yeah, additional giveaways will be provided by Gabriel Urist, Greedy Genius, Altamont, Stussy, Flud Watches, Money, and Staple Design.
Thanks to the guys at ctothejl for the post too.

Preview: Black Snake Pack
For our Fall 2008 line we're introducing the Black Snake Pack. Comprised of two versions of our classic Ellington fedora in addition to the 5 Panel Cap.
The first fedora features a thicker wool plaid fabric with a black snake skin belt. The 5 panel cap uses black melton wool for the back panels and visor while the black snake skin is incorporated on the front panel. To finish off the set is an all black snake skin Ellington.
All three pieces will be available this Fall. Thanks to the guys at hypebeast for the love.

Scott Ladwig = Rep of the year
One of our first sales reps and long time friend, Scott Ladwig, just earned himself the 2008 SIA Sales Rep of the Year for the Midwest.
...not really Scott
I think Scott was the first guy that approached us to rep the brand back when both himself and our company were just getting started. Therefore, he clearly owes all of his success to us. You're welcome Scott.

Ashbury
Our friends at Ashbury Eyewear have put together their website, so do them a favor and go check it out.
The product is made in Italy. However, contrary to the belief that everything Italian has to be stylish, expensive, and oily; Ashbury's stuff is just plain stylish.
Good guys, good eyewear. And if you see Lance, tell him I still need my copy of "Prototype".
That is all.

The Hundreds
A couple of weeks ago I got an invite from Scotty Littel to come to The Hundreds 5 year anniversary pop up shop party. Friday came and I drove my ass up to downtown LA to support the homies.
When I first pulled up, I saw the crowd and it seemed mellow. Little did I know that was not the case, because everyone was out back waiting in the longest line ever for a free drink. My eyes quickly focused on a bottle of Grey Goose on top of the bar, but that was the closest I got and after trying to get my hands on it with no success, I decided to call it an evening.
Oh, keep an eye out for the 5 panel hat that we made for them. I believe its gonna release at the pop up shop on Aug 15th. More details later.

Soul Assassins
We recently got together with Soul Assassins to produce the Sword fitteds. The logos on this cap feature the work of Jeff Hamada, who is one of the lead designers for the homies over at 3Sixteen. The two swords on the front weave together which signifies the bond that exists between all of Soul Assassins. Their crew runs pretty deep from DJ Muggz to the Gza to famed LA photographer Estevan Oriol.
The cap features a suede crown and visor, while a soft satin lining finishes off the inside. The caps are limited to 144 pieces and is available online and at the Soul Assassins retail store now. These won't last so be sure to get one before their gone. Keep an eye out for more Soul Assassins releases throughout the coming seasons.
HypeBeast wrote a nice little post about the caps too.
