If you're in the San Francisco area, you probably already know of Atlas. If not, you should. Having made a name for themselves as one the cleaner shops in the SF area, they just celebrated their 2 year anniversary a couple weeks ago. They also just picked up some of the Spring Summer 2009 Elm collection, which is another reason to check them out altogether.

Back To The Berg

Tomorrow is the big day.

Rumors are everywhere about crazy stuff being thrown and some people are gonna get broke for sure. Check out Thrasher to take a look at some of the ABD's. Looks like speed shouldn’t be a problem for anyone either. Should be interesting.

Cover-age

Nima just landed himself on the cover of Pop Magazine in Australia. If you're interested in what he's been up to the last couple years, click on the photo & read the online issue (because who reads "print" media anymore?).

Devine Calloway on Etnies

You're probably wondering "why does Elm care that Devine is on Etnies?"
Devine is a friend of the brand and a fan of all types of headwear, especially ours. Click on the picture of him (wearing the snakeskin "Ellington" fedora by the way) to check out Etnies blog and see what people are saying about Devine's move. There are more photos and video (of Devine wearing Elm) there too.

Skate Plaza In San Francisco

Here's some renderings of a new skate plaza that will go up in San Francisco (at Mission and Duboce). Estimated to cost 1 million, the park will feature plenty of ledges, stairs, banks, and other street-friendly obstacles.

Andrew Langi Ad

Go pick up the July issue of Skateboarder Magazine and check out Andrew Langi's Dakine ad.

The focal point of the ad is clearly the "Victory Fitted" cap he's wearing (which is also in stores now). I think there's a backpack or luggage of some sort in there somewhere too, but I didn't notice.

Homework Mondays

For the Los Angeles locals.

Our good buddy Ned Casual drops the needle on some fine vinyl every Monday at Crane's Tavern in Hollywood. Now Mondays don't have to be so bad.

Odyn Vovk/Ashbury

The Odyn Vovk/Ashbury offices are less than a mile away from us. So we stopped by yesterday to see how things are coming along.

Here's the front door (exciting huh?). I had to black-out the address on the door note. Sorry kids. Can't be havin' visitors all day when there's work to be done.

This is the showroom. All kinds of taxidermy and animal skeletons in here. Smells like leather. Not like new-car-smell leather, more like dried-animal-skin leather, man leather.

Spring/Summer 09. Shown by apointment only.

I could make some dopey reference to Austin's line being "off the hook", but that term is really played and as you can see, his line is clearly displayed "on the hook" here.

Old vintage sewing machines, skulls, and...........................stuff.

More animal skulls. It's a happy place.

This is where ferocious animal carcasses get transformed into fashionable garments.

Here's Lance from Ashbury lookin' fresh in some animal flesh.

Mike, trying to look busy in the Ashbury section, while Chicken works on some quality control.

The office is coming together nicely. Rumor has it that a mini-ramp is going in at some point. So look forward to many more future visits from us.

Cody Rosenthal

Cody Rosenthal doesn't ride for us, but he recently broke his L3 vertebrae riding some of the lunatic-sized features at Super Park 09. He was flown out of Mammoth Lakes Hospital to Renown Hospital in Reno and is currently in ICU. His surgery takes place May 10, 2009. This group is for all of us who love Cody and wish to support him and his family financially during this very difficult time. Like most talented snowboarders in this industry, Cody does not have Health Insurance. Any paypal donations anyone can give are deeply appreciated. A facebook fundraiser group has also been started. So feel free to join.

3 Sixteen

Our friends over at 3Sixteen have just launched their new Video Look Book. This brand has evolved quite a bit from it's humble "streetwear" roots. Good things in store from these guys if you like the cleaner classier things in life. Anyway, click on the photo above to peep the new vid and learn something.

Paint It Live

Here's some photos from the "Paint It Live" art exhibition we sponsored at Maxx Fish in Whistler on April 14th (yeah, I know it's a little late). Anyway, DJsets were performed by Matt The Alien, Vinyl Ritchie, Rob Baanks, and MC Motm, while artists painted live from 8:00pm - 3:00am.
