Winter Limited Release

With each season, we strive to push the fitted cap forward in design and production. For Winter 09, we've introduced a cap that incorporates the design elements found in the classic letterman jacket.

Utilizing Melton Wool and leather paneling with a satin liner, this cap stays true to its inspiration. Appropriately, chenille patch work and chainstich embroidery are finishing details.

This release marks another ELM first. The Letterman Fitted baseball cap will include a matching graphic tee. From the "01" on the sleeve to the award patches down the front, the shirt draws inspiration from the same letterman elements. Of course, there is an Elm twist, such as the eternal torch with the leaf flame, to the Save the Hater, and the Hitters logo. Keep an eye out for the full details on the release soon, as well as additional color ways.

Looks like the The Hundreds are taking notice as well, and gave us some good words on this release and our other projects here

Congrats to Bev Vuilleumier for taking 3rd place at the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge. That's her on the right with some very warm-looking mittens. She was also recently nominated for "Rookie Of The Year" in the Transworld Rider's Poll Awards Transworld Rider's Poll Awards.

Priceless

Nothing to do with hats, but this is just too good to not share. President Bush made a trip to Iraq and got a couple shoes flung at him during a press conference. A reported named Muntadhar al-Zeidi jumped up in the middle of the conference and whizzed two shoes right next to Bush's head. From what I know, getting touched with a shoe is one of the worst insults in Middle-Eastern culture. The reporter yelled "This is a farewell kiss, you dog" while he tossed the footwear. Anyway, watch the video.

Haha, I could watch that all day.

Industry Day @ Mt. High

Broke away from the office on Thursday and made the trek to Mt. High for "Industry Day". I was surprised to see the amount of snow they had made in just a few days and the weather couldn't have been better.

I didn't get too many photos because I was having too much fun riding. Here's Lance Hakker from Ashbury with a frontboard through the kinked box.

Lance again, switch 1 tail press.

There was no shortage of characters, but honestly, if there were no characters, it wouldn't be Mt. High. Creepy Cyle feels the same way.

......only at Mt. High

Good times.

Overseas Bonus Footage

Snowboarder just posted some ”Overseas” bonus footage from Montreal featuring Josh Sherman. The video starts after the lame PacSun/USASA commercial with the goofy, boyband-lookin kid.

Vince Pages Interview

Vince Pages was recently interviewed on Method.TV. Here's a link to the video, which is a look behind the scenes of "Ero One's" new movie "What's Poppin" and includes some footage of Florent Marot too. The music is a little questionable though. But Euro's like that stuff.

"How To Tune" with Silvia

Snowboarder.com just posted a "How To Tune" video featuring Silvia Mittermuller. I'm sure I could have used any number of clever sexual inuendos to title this post, but I'll refrain.

I do have to say though, that area looked a little nice to be waxing a board in, but whatever, I'm not the one who has to clean it up.

Better Late Than Never

Corey had an art show in Costa Mesa last week, but I didn't get around to posting it until now. Sorry, get over it. He appears to have developed a new found fascination with United States military superiority and it's implied relation to the end of the world. But don't worry, he still pokes fun at society's obsession with sex money, and material possessions. I got there a little early, so I could get some photos of his work before the crowd showed up.

Here we have an upside-down cross depicting our greed as a nation. We're all going to hell.

A pink Stealth Fighter towing a banner the reads "Smile! The end is near!" This thing almost got knocked down about 30 times.

Some oldies, but goodies. A couple of demon children joyriding in their Hummer PowerWheel and a couple of soul-less Hollywood zombies.

The crowd. No bueno for photos. Good thing I got there early

I left a little early, but I heard the festivities carried on next door at the "Little Knight" until the wee hours in the morning.
