Ashbury Demo

If you missed it,...you missed out. Ashbury held the first ever team demo in snowboarding on Saturday. Yes, all snowboarders want to be just like skateboarders and now they're one step closer (maybe). All kidding aside, the demo was good times, no....great times highlighted by some equally great talent. Lucky for us, Elm and Ashbury share more than a handful of talented riders. Naturally, my camera ran out of batteries again, just as things were getting going. Fortunately for me though, there was no shortage of qualified photogs on scene taking much better photos than I ever could anyway. Here's a few from Liam Gallagher (check out the rest at transworld.net).

Jake Olson-Elm - switch back lip

Ben Bilocq - frontside rotational air with bonus grab

Larry - honestly, this could be anything and you probably can't do it.

Robbie Sell also takes much better photos than me. You can check them out at robbiesell.com. Here's some of his from the demo.

Nick Dirks - back noseblunt

Nima - switch back tail 270

Ben Rice - lipslide through the bender

Ned Casual - providing auditory enjoyment for everyone

After about 90 minutes or so, the course turned into a free-for-all progression session until the mountain staff decided it was time to wrap it up.
You wish you were there.
