"Just Doing My Job"
I'm not sure if threatening to "break your arm like a twig" is standard police protocol or not, but I'm no expert. Gotta say though, I loved the part when the officer is trying to redefine the word "kick".

Philly DJ Day
“Philadelphia DJ Day is an annual celebration of the legacy of the Philadelphia DJ.”
DJ Day seeks to bring Philly DJs of all nationalities, ethnicities, ages, shapes and sizes…representing every genre of music from hip-hop to techno…to come together as a unified whole. These mix masters share experiences, find new techniques, bond and fellowship over their favorite rhythms and beats all the while exposing young adults to dj-ing as a viable response to some of the society’s ills. DJ Day seeks to accomplish this through workshops and talks conducted by DJs, not just on the day… but year around.
Don't miss it if you're in the area and while you're there keep an eye out for the limited-edition fitted cap we produced for the event.
Saturday, September 26, 2009, 12-8pm
4800 N. Parkside Avenue
(between Belmont Avenue & 49th Street…next to Bala Golf Club)

More Fall 2009 Looks
Here's a look at another couple pieces from our Fall 2009 collection, the Reserve Crew and the Strikeout Snapback.
The crew features a clean combination of subtle details such as the leaf patch on the chest, the zippered pockets and the logo treatment on the back. Shown here in Tiffany colorways, but both pieces are also available in Black.
Look for these pieces at select ELMCOMPANY retailers this now.

Brook D'Leau of J*DaVey sent over this photo from a recent trip to Arizona. Looks like his hat attracted a few Elm fans.

Winner Winner
Congrats to Scott Vine for coming out on top at Hot Dogs N' Handrails (N' mud, N' hay) on Saturday. The course set-up was a little bizarre, but it was good to see something different than the normal rail contest layout. Congrats to Jake Kuzyk too, for ending up in 4th.
Results:
1. Scott Vine
2. Jed Anderson
3. Zak Hale
4. Jake Kuzyk
5. Ryan Tarbell

Fall 2009 Apparel Hitting Stores
For Fall 2009, ELMCOMPANY introduces our cut and sew apparel collection. Continuing the focus on quality and attention to detail that we've become known for, the introduction of the apparel marks the next step for us to compliment our headwear.
For our first delivery, we've concentrated on classic silhouettes, creating specific color and logo groups that merchandise back into the caps. Here's a closer look at the Homerun Hoodie and the Homerun Fitted. It's all in the details.
Keep checking back as we highlight more pieces in the coming weeks. Or better yet, get to your local ELMCOMPANY dealer and break out your wallet before they're sold out.

999 Tour & Mayer Hawthorne
Been hangin around with the StonesThrow crew alot lately working on some upcoming projects. They just wrapped up their 999 Tour last week. It was a 9 days, 9 area codes, all 90's music, and it was dope.
If you were there on opening night, you would've noticed Mayer Hawthorne appropriately wearing the "Fight The Power" fitted to keep with the 90's theme.
Our boy DJ Muggs was in the house too.
My lady was one of the "fly girls".....
....so I gave her a cap to toss to one lucky fan.
I had so much fun the first night, I made it out for two more shows. So if you missed out then, well,...you missed out. Sucks for you. Anyway, thanks to Will Tee Yang for the photos.
I also made it out to Mayer Hawthorne’s record release party at The Roxy last Thursday. What can I say?, I'm a fan and I had free tickets (thanks Jackson). If you haven't heard him yet, get with it.
Anyway, the show was packed beyond capacity and the crowd was going nuts during the whole set.
Good times. Now go buy the album.

Great Minds Think Alike
Jay-Z and ELMCOMPANY have a couple of things in common, hats and artwork. The Hip-Hop giant recently released his latest album in the Blueprint trilogy, BP3. The artwork for the album included three red lines symbolizing the number 3.
The same logo, appears on apparel and hats in our Spring 2010 line. Three stripes are utilized on a few pieces to symbolize the first letter in the company’s name "E".
The two logos are completely unrelated, but it just goes to show, that great minds think a like.
